Golden Beach State School Year 5 students recently enjoyed a real ‘open classroom’ thanks to angling classes provided by the Caloundra Power Boat Club’s fishing group.
Members of the CPBC fishing group, Queensland Boating and Fisheries Patrol officers and teachers provided a program over three weeks to help 86 students learn to preserve the local marine environment for recreational fishing by learning how to become Fish Managers.
The Caloundra Powerboat Club fishing group is committed to ensuring students learn about angling and the sustainability of fisheries resources while having fun at the same time.’
